-- WordWright

Poetry Underground is an informal collective of poets who are not averse to performing poetry. We are currently based in the Klang Valley and meet fornightly. We believe in Public Access Poetry: bringing poetry out of its sacred pages and into the bars, cafes, and even right out on the streets. This blog exists to keep a record of where we've been and what we're doing, as well as update the public on where we'll be heading next.

Since we've started coming together we've done a street performance, competed in slams, semi-crashed a readings session, and had several workshops. We now have a regular slot at Sharon Bakar's Readings @ Seksan's, and we'll be coming up with an anthology of our work pretty soon.

Interested in joining us, or just want to know what the fuss is about? Check out our base on Facebook: Poetry Underground.
